Drawn and Quartered is the second episode of the second season, it is also the twenty fourth episode of the series overall. It aired on October 9th, 2014 and received a final rating of 1.09 million.
MARY SUFFERS THE CONSEQUENCES OF HER ACTIONS — In the aftermath of the plague, a powerful lord discovers that Mary was responsible for the death of his son and demands vengeance, testing the loyalties of Mary, Francis and Catherine. Francis returns to the castle with Lola and their newborn son, creating tension with Mary. Greer is torn by her loyalty to her fiancé, Lord Castleroy, who blames Leith for his daughter’s demise. Meanwhile, Kenna urges Bash to be formally recognized in his new role.
The episode starts off with Francis making his way back home with Lola and the baby, escorted by Condé and his men. When they arrive, the ladies-in-waiting first greet the baby and Lola. Mary then joins them. Later on, when Mary and Francis are alone, Mary confesses that she is upset with Francis for abandoning her to save his bastard child in the middle of a plague.
As for Bash he gets a warm hug from his half-brother Francis before receiving an invitation to be a part of Francis' council as a trusted adviser. Bash thinks about it before taking a huge responsibility but has no time to waste because Narcisse has a plan to unfold.
