Francis and Mary's Wedding Contract, is the written statement proclaiming their marriage. It is used as proof to show that they are in fact legally wed. It also contains all the terms and conditions of their wedding. The contract is written in French.

Season OneEdit

In The Consummation, Marie and Francis sign this contract during their wedding. It was also constructed by Henry II, Catherine de' Medici and Marie de Guise.

In Liege Lord, Mary learns of a secret clause in the contract stating that if she were to die without an heir, Scotland would belong to France. She and her friends come up with a plan to destroy the contract for good.
