problem and thank you :)
I think I found the spell: 'lumenick dushkader et sprago faraha 'ay raynim doluchtai
Put on the captions and got what it most nearly is, I don't know what language its in but I know for a fact it's not Latin. If I find out what language its in I'll tell you! :)
kay :)
I believe the writers used a made up language mostly, emulating what they thought a Germanic language in the region and time would sound like. They probably threw in "et" to allude to the influence of Latin most languages in that region and time were experiencing to some degree.
Worth noting that the first line can be partially translated with Urdu, the language they speak in Pakistan, which is also partially commutative with India's Hindi. If they did a lot of research on the linguistics, the writers could therefore have fashioned a makeshift Germanic Pagan language based on strong Proto-Indo-European roots, with a dash of Latin, and more than likely a dash of gibberish. Such a language would make sense to have survived Latinisation in rural areas of France, especially if it survived alongside a non-Christian religion that characters in Reign call Paganism.
He said "lumenick dushkader et sparago faraha ay raynim doluchtai" while cutting his hand and spreading blood around. It means deep the roots, dark the night, red the blood, I will pay
